FEMTO Messtechnik
GmbH introduces the new high speed charge amplifier HQA-15M-10T
and the new USB control interface LUCI-10.

The new high
speed charge amplifier HQA-15M-10T is designed for
signal sources like tuning fork quartzes and length extension resonators
producing a modulated charge signal. The amplifier works over a wide operating
range from 250 Hz up to 15 MHz at a very high gain of 10
V/pC. Combined with the low input noise of 40 x 10-21
C/√Hz charge measurements down to the Femto and Pico Coulomb
range can be achieved. The compact housing allows use close to the signal
source for optimum signal to noise ratio. The HQA-15M-10T
is used for sensitive measurements in the field of Atomic Force Microscopy
(AFM) and for beam monitoring in particle physics.

The new USB
control interface LUCI-10 establishes the link between
any FEMTO amplifier or photoreceiver with 25 pin D-Sub
interface and a Windows® PC with USB port. In addition
to the manual control by switches directly on the device, all main amplifier
functions like gain, sensitivity and time constant can now be set directly
from a PC. The interface supports opto-isolation of the PC
USB port from the signal path of the connected FEMTO amplifier to guarantee
signal integrity and low noise performance. The LUCI-10 electronics
is fully integrated inside the D-Sub hood and bus-powered
through the USB port. It comes with an extensive software package containing
the necessary DLL driver and software examples like Graphic User Interfaces
(GUI's), sample VI's and a FEMTO Library to help generate your own control
software in a LabVIEW environment.
