The new, very low noise cable by FEMTO is designed to counteract triboelectric and microphonic noise and thereby improve ultra-sensitive current and charge measurements.
Due to a special semi-conductive layer between the dielectric and shield the noise reduction of the CAB-LN1 Low Noise Cable is typically more than 1,000 times in comparison to standard coaxial cables. In addition the superior design and the application of high-quality components guarantee a high insulation resistance of > 1014 Ω also for the completely assembled cable.
Hence it is utilized for measurements of ultra-low currents down to femtoamperes as in photodetectors and ion chambers, for high resistance measurements, in scanning probe microscopy (STM, SPM, STS) and spectroscopy as well as in piezo- and pyroelectric transducers.
The cables of the CAB-LN1 series are available in various lengths.
